Week 6 Progress Post

As we move into week 6, I thought I’d try a different way to keep engaged with the subject – my first progress post.

Last week was spent working on Task 2 (i.e. a lot of research on how to make a Gantt chart, and then ultimately deciding that I’d just use a timeline instead). I posted my first survey on the methods of studying that universities use, which was composed of ten questions. I received some feedback that people would like a ‘select all that apply’ option when taking the survey, as they sometimes use more than one method, e.g. hard and soft copy notes. I will be adding this feature to the next survey.

I have decided that the next survey I will be creating will be on how students manage their time when they are studying; including questions such as how many weeks before exams do you start studying? And, how many hours a day do you study?

I will also be posting poles on Twitter for my target audience to reply to. I have found that I tend to get more responses on poles than surveys – most likely because it is more time efficient.

This week I am aiming to manage my own time well, as online learning has introduced a lot more work for each subject, as well as continuing to engage with my peers about their experiences with studying. Another goal for this week is to take surveys that have been created by other students to help them out with their own projects.
